No bad parts

Recent work continues to combine studying trauma with my art practice. During lock down I discovered ‘ifs’ or Internal Family Systems’ invented by Dick Swartz. The simple idea is that we are all made up of parts and some of these parts are maladaptive to early trauma.
through my work I am re establishing a relationship with these parts and giving them time and space.
Although this  is self directed learning I’m amazed that as I allow the figures to come forward I have an increased understanding and a greater sense of well ness.
