Meanwhile I carve stone

Stone carving is the slower practise I employ and it runs on alongside everything else. It is arguably the most intentional as it’s the hardest ( literally) media to manipulate and re-work. I have found this to be very grounding for me. It accompanied me when other parts of me are giddy like a stoic friend.
I have completed some pieces and exhibited.
The large head of my deceased mother at Linden studio’s Winter exhibition . It felt humbling to place her there. She holds her own as stone does, it’s indefatigable, resilient and safe.

I completed the kidney and two votive pieces. The later are for a project in Greece.
It seems the nature of stone to have work that is outstanding that requires a build up of emotional, spiritual, energetic resources before it can be tackled again.
