Deserters Art Exhibition

I was invited by Bella Kerr and Caroline Humphreys to be part of Deserters a multi media exhibition also on line which explores the relationship between artist and illness.
the exhibition at Oriel y bont gallery at South Wales University afforded the opportunity to present an installation of sculptures , textile work and paintings together with my Peisley Memoir albums.
The work reflects recovering from trauma , complex PTSD. The very act of placing all parts of my practice in one place felt remedial.
the show opened in April and will continue until September.
This is a pivotal exhibition for me as it brings long periods of dissociation into conscious awareness. It’s excruciatingly personal but I hope it gives others courage to add to the conversation about how mental health can be managed and how art can be used positively and diversely .
funded by the Arts Council the curators have been very supportive and fluid allowing my process to continue right into it’s hanging.
