Training & Tuition

Tracie has considerable experience as a qualifed teacher and HCPC registered Art therapist working with both children and adults in the therapeutic, education and medical settings.

Her Art Therapy training leads her to honour and support individual creative process. Therapeutic work has a differnt intention to the desire to be able to use colour with confidence for example, but inevitably participants sense the agency  that Tracie and the materials offer, for self-development.

To be accompnaied in the creative process can take people beyond their reservations towards a more playful time. It is Tracie’s view that there is always something to be gained from a creative experience if one is given permission to be curious.

Previous group workshops have included ‘Collage Workshops’, ‘working with textiles’, a painting carousel, portraiture, poetry and art making, sculpting with re-cycled materials, , still life painting in different media and fabric collage, clay and plaster workshops and  Getting to know artists such as Picasso, Khalo and Matisse.
